Just wander if this is the same captain that hard landed in Newark in May 2011, the plane I was on. The
 overhead luggage compartments popped open. Everybody was scared. Also I should mention two weeks before the flight to Warsaw was canceled for 'technical reasons' . I was stuck in Newark 'til noon next day...

Question:
 Did they try cranking the gear open manually? Did they try gravity dropping the gear? Did they disarm the gear door locks before trying any of those? ._.
