I was only 7 when I saw this in '79, I don't remember the story but I remember that even the mention of it scared me for years. It might be cheesy now but back then it was good, but too scary for a 7 year

As fan-made trailers go,
this one is really, really good. (I'm assuming it's fan-made because it uses clips from the final edited film, with dialogue and music permanently mixed. Studio trailers have discrete dialogue channels which they mix with a special musical cut made specifically for the trailer. While this doe
sn't have that, it does a very good job of mixing existing music AS IF it were cut just for this trailer.) Nice job! "Salem's Lot" was a great film. Still holds up well.

This film scared the living daylights out of me. Two scenes in particular were excellent: The first revealing of the "Master" in the kitchen and the confrontation with the local preacher was brilliant and the now vampirised Glick brother
scratching outside his brother's bedroom window was faultless. It makes stuff like "True Blood", "Twilight" and "The Vampire Diaries" look like crap. The Master was a real vampire, not a Versace model with sharp teeth. A great horror film.
