 can be reused for other purposes should they decide to dismantle it. It's just not very efficient, but it IS green.

To charge the battery directly to run your preferred device. (Batteries store DC)
 An AC motor could be used as a generator but it has to have specific parts to it, DC motors are a bit easier to find for an application like this.
