I asked this guy I hadn't really met or anything. I asked him several times a day, usually online by posting pictures on his facebook. The final effort was writing him a really creepy song, which you can see on my youtube channel. It started as a joke, but we started to be really good friends and he actually went to prom with me. Everyone who had been watching on facebook couldn't believe he actually came, and it was the best night ever!

I went with my best friend. He sprained his ankle playing lacrosse the day before Prom. All of my friends went with their crushes. it was awkward dancing in the middle of their grind-fest. But it was also too loud to sit and talk to my date. On a side note: A week later, my best friend told me he was sick of me, and I was replaced. We mad e up and were friends for the Summer and the first month of college before he told me he wanted to "put his high school days behind him." ... Including me.

I had this friend, Bill, who moved away the year before. I was excited that he was coming with a friend of ours and I would get to see him... but then the friend got back with her boyfriend. So I not-so-subtlely mentioned I didn't have a date, and he asked me.
And then another friend wasn't going with anyone, so I invited her to ride in the limo with the four of us.
And then the first friend broke up with her boyfriend... on the way to dinner.
So Bill ended up having three of us on his arm.

My Jr prom I was in a Female Tux and I was in Germany at the time. At the same place we had prom was also a military function going on. I was hit on my a LT in the Army, and it just so happens that the LT was in the same company as the husband to a friend of mine that I was to meet later that year.

I had my graduation (the equivalent to prom in Canada) this past June and it was decent. I didn't get a date to the actual dance but I did manage to get asked out by a bunch of intoxicated guys a few hours later at the after-party....

At my graduation prom a railing in a flight of stairs accidentally broke (because the place we were at were over booked) and several people fell like domino bricks on top of each other. Some got badly hurt, and got picked up by ambulances and the whole thing obviously had to end (about 1,5-2 h) early.
I guess my prom could have been better.

we have the debs here, (debs for girls, grads for boys) its usually in late august after the last year of school. most people wear floor length dresses and the guys wear tux's. its a big deal to most people but its more about wanting to have an amazing last party with all your friends because you might never see some of them again. although most put a lot of effort into their outfit.

I went to prom with my ex (whom I was "friends" with but held a grudge against), got really drunk at the after-party and puked in his sweater's hood (accidentally I guess), which he did not really notice/remember (due to alcohol) until it was too late. (:

I went to prom stagette and LOVED IT. Don't worry about finding a date, you want to enjoy it with your friends not worry about your date-you-only-got-cause-you-didn't-want-go-to-prom-alone date.
Also, my prom was bollywood theme, you can be jealous now.

If you are anything like me, learn to like yourself. Become considerate of other people and their own issues and know that the world doesn't evolve around you.
I kind of got out of it after I realized nobody is out to get me and frankly no one cares.

Two years after the video was posted, I finally go to a prom. We may have been the only guy-guy couple. In the end, I got 1/2 of a slow dance because the dance was cut short because an "end of days"-style storm was predicted. The was no rain. Almost spent the night in a parking garage. Good or bad?
