P.S. I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to see Herb and Lani play at Blues Alley in Georgetown Washington DC 12 May 2008. The show was absolutely spectacular. After all these years, they both still have it: the skills and the love. Truly a remarkable show. Herb and Lani, thanks to all of the
wonderful years of warming our hearts with your great art work. You both are truly blessed as well as I was at your show.

I've adored Mr.Herb Alpert since I was 16,,Until now I could only envision his fingers- his gestrures- his persona his deep sense of emotional & spiritual understanding especially having overcome his bout w/ depression & how his wife helped him "RISE" from that once lonely place {A-DEFINITIVE-TITLE "RISE" I related to that] "ROTATION" ALWAYS -B- MY FAVORITE soft jazz piece one of the few

my 1st comment re;Unable to visit my past as "ROTATION"{& RISE"] played such a part --[since the 80's] !!I So I FINALLY GRABBED THE "DEFINITIVE HITS" C/D Purchased 2007] I told my driver to place this on his "IPOD" 1st thing he plays when I get in the car -cont'd- Michael-Jackson's having received Award w/Quincy Jones.[80's] {Golden Globe?} I shall never forget those happier days...I pray Michael is not Lost

Hall is
actually a vocalist. She first became famous singing with Sergio Mendes and Brazil '66. Many of those old performances with Sergio are here on Youtube.
